What is Zone 2 training?

Zone 2 is moderate-intensity aerobic exercise performed within a personal heart rate range. In the app’s five-zone model, Zone 2 is typically set around 60–70% of maximum heart rate, with Heart Rate Reserve available for a more individualized calculation.

See the zone while you move

During a workout, Zone 2 shows your current heart rate, active zone, time in that zone, percentage of the workout spent there, and the zone’s lower and upper limits. Optional audio or Apple Watch haptic alerts can tell you when your zone changes.

Turn sessions into a weekly habit

Set a weekly Zone 2 minute goal, then review progress by workout. Daily, weekly, and monthly views show how your zone time accumulates. Trend charts place zone minutes alongside resting heart rate and VO₂ max data.

Workout options
